Neo-Survivalism refers to a new wave of survivalism that is sweeping across the country. The economic uncertainty of the past decade has definitely been a factor in contributing to the rise of neo-survivalism. Many Americans worry that their rights are being eroded or compromised. Furthermore, major natural disasters and terrorist attacks like 9/11, Hurricane Katrina or the earthquake in Haiti have revealed how fragile our way of life really is.
About Me
Look, I don't live in the woods. I'm your normal guy, like you, who has a job, lives in the suburbs and has a family. The only thing is that I'm a little concerned about where we're heading as a country and a society. The reality is that I'm not self reliant at all, and it scares me. As such, I'm looking to take incremental steps to be prepared for uncertain times ahead. I'm not going to go crazy and move to Idaho. In fact, I'm not moving at all. But a part of me has changed and I'm going to act on these instincts. This blog is about these actions. To summarize, I'm a neo-survivalist. Or maybe, I'm a mainstream survivalist. I'm your everyday American who thinks something is wrong. I'm your everyday American who also is preparing... for something. I encourage you to continue reading and see if you might identify with me.
